For the sake of a proper document structure, don't replace the ps with double-breaks. How about using some CSS to solve this problem???
girlie
Ahhh, but where one person may prefer two breaks, another may prefer a paragraph (especially if you want to apply styles to those paragraphs).

I agree that there's a need to rework the whole convert line breaks thing, but the problem seems to be finding a solution that will make everyone happy!

In another post I mentioned a possible solution to this:

Make a template for line and paragraph breaks. The user can then decide to keep the p and br tags, or have MT insert some style tags or whatever. Greymatter does this and I miss it going to MT.

MTEntryBody, when you convert to breaks, wraps chunks of text in paragraph tags (*p*xxx*/p*)  This interfers with my original layout plan.

It would instead look like this (with the paragraph break in play)

Which I agree, isn't much of a difference, but it's all the differnce to me.

SO, what I am saying is, I think where a double break is in the content, instead of wrapping it in paragraph tags (which gives it that extra space at the top and the bottom of the whole entry) replace that double break with two BR tags.
Grunge
Well, I could fix it with CSS and probably will have to.  All I am saying is there should be breaks where a break is needed, not paragraphing the text chunk whenever you break twice.
