Yes, adding more info to the activity log is on the todo list--take a look for a post by Koen, he has some modifications to the code to add more items to the log.

Hmm.. file uploads and bookmarklets use could be a nice feature.

Nevermind on the erratic behavior I mentioned in my last post to this topic.  I think it was my browser cache.  Duh.

I'd like to put in a request for more info in the activity log. Currently, the activity log only mentions instances where authors sign in and out using the MT interface.  I'd especially like to request the following info:

:bookmarklet activity
:file uploads
:IPs in bookmarklet use
:post creation/deletion/editing
:comment posting deleting/editing

I know this would greatly increase the size of the log for some users, but I think most people would agree that this could be very useful information for anyone setting up a blog for more than one user.  Especially companies, but also group blogs.

Koen, I've made the changes you suggested in that other thread, and they work pretty well.  It seems that every once in a while a comment "slips by" or after the log gets, oh, 30 items or so long it stops logging.  Clearing the log takes care of that problem.  I'm not sure if these problems are related to the code changes you suggested, but I wasn't having them before.  If they persist, I'll be a little more specific.

Yes, file uploads and bookmarklet posting would be great, since I'd say most of my authors use bookmarklets exclusively, except when they have to upload files.  It would be nice to have file uploads logged because there aren't any restrictions I can enforce on uploads (I sort of trust them to keep files under 50K), so logging IPs/authors could be very useful.
