Hi, I just installed/upgraded to 3.0 and I found an old spam comment and I banned the IP, but it won't let me delete it. I click delete and nothign happens. I tried it on the entry and in the new comments page/tool/place. Is it because I'm using Safari?

Also, I took the mt.js file and copied it into my 'static' folder, but no go. Let me be sure I'm thinking the right folder is the 'static' folder. I created a folder on my initial install in my 'html' directory and called it 'mt'. Inside that folder is now 'docs', 'images', 'styles.css', and now 'mt.js'.

Is that right?

That's correct - the mt.js file is what controls these functions.

Maybe you need to refresh in your browser? I don't recall Safari having a specific problem with this, but I wouldn't swear to that, since I don't use it myself. wink.gif

And your StaticWebPath points to this mt folder, correct? Or is that where all of your MT files are stored?

All my MT files are in my cgi-bin, in a folder called 'mt' as well.
So, MT files are in an 'mt' folderin the 'cgi-bin' folder, and static files are in an 'mt' folder in the 'html' folder. The cgi and html folders are in the 'www' folder.

I'vecopied and put the mt.js everywhere now, should I run the upgrade script again?
shelley
No, the upgrade script has no bearing on this. wink.gif

You might try loading the script into your browser, just to "activate" it: http://www.example.com/mt/mt.js - or try another browser to see if it is perhaps a conflict with Safari.

Oh - and there's not anything blocking popups in your browser, right?
