On Powweb last night, the MT control interface on my site failed to appear when I tried to open it. Instead, I got this error:
Got an error: Connection error: Can't create a new thread (errno 35). If you are not out of available memory, you can consult the manual for a possible OS-dependent bug
Later the error was gone, but reappeared even later. Since it mentioned "memory," I deleted unnecessary files from my space on Powweb (though I would have thought memory referred to RAM). Seems to be working now.
Was it really related to a full disk?
Thanks for any help.

The "Connection error" occured when MT tried to connect to the MySQL server. The error has nothing to do with disk space. Just a guess, but I think your host's MySQL server had too many people trying to access it at one time. When the MySQL server wasn't quite so busy, then you were able to log into MT.

David -- thanks for that info! That little bit of knowledge makes it feel a lot more manageable. I'll contact Powweb and report that error and the cause, then ask them to see that it doesn't happen again! At least I can relax, knowing it's temporary.
