Could you please email me (button below) and attach a *part* of the file that you are trying to import? Just about 10 entries should be enough. I can then try to import it here. It could be an issue with carriage returns or something like that.

I'm having the same problem...  can't figure out how MT import distinguishes between posts.  My first imported post works, then the 2nd through 300'th are all seen as one single post.

That's the problem...  I'll put in the seperator and try it.  (Thank god for search and replace)  :)....

I am importing about 500 or so posts into MT from GM. I followed the instructions to the letter in the manual, and when I import the big file with all the posts, I get one gigantic post with all my posts, ever. Is there a bug in which the import utility does not separate the posts? Am I missing something? Am I crazy tongue.gif ?

Any help is appreciated. I am having 500 error woes with GM, and I can't rebuild my entry pages, so I want to get over to MT and see if it works better. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Adam

Sure. The url of the file is http://www.adampsyche.com/mt/index.html (for reference) and the excerpt is on its way.

Thanks!!! biggrin.gif

If your problem is the same as Adam's, then the issue is that you do not have the separator that is in the manual (eight '-' in a row) between each of your entries. The separator should look like

CODE
--------

Another possibility is that you don't have a carriage return after this separator.
