Hi there, I've got what I believe to be a unique error. Movable Type was working great, I just installed it on a new server, filled it with 27 entries and everything was fine. Then, suddenly a 500 server error. I checked the error log, and here's what I've found
(24)Too many open files: couldn't set child process attributes:

Not even a hello world cgi script can run now. I think that every time I logged into Movable Type, it never closed once I left it. Any ideas?

Ok, within five minutes of posting, Movable Type spontanously started working again. What can I say? I've no clue as to why, but there's hope for anyone who gets that error.

Well, it's been a few hours, and Movable type did crash again, same error as far as I can tell. Can't explain this at all. Hopefully it will retun to working order without prodding.

If you are on a shared server, this may have nothing to do with your files/applications...
