Hmm, you're right, it really should use that value to set the status for the new entries. I'll fix that in the next release.

Yep, that's what I mean--whatever you have the default set to in blog config, that's what the status for the new entries will be set to.

Me again! I just imported 160 entries from GM (with your help, finally successfully), but they were all imported with their status as "release", despite the fact that the default setting in my blog configuration is "hold". Is it possible to override the tendency for them to be imported "released", and to do so with them all "held" instead, as opposed to my having to manually go through each entry and change the status from "release" to "hold"?

When you say you'll fix that in the next release, I hope you mean that whatever the default status is, that's what imported entries will be.
I would absolutely HATE to have to go through 200 imported entries and change them all to "release"

Well in that case I'll look forward to it in a new release! I know it might seem a minor point, but for large numbers of imported posts it certainly would be nice ;-) Although by the next release I definitely hope to be *done* importing from both Blogger and Greymatter, and well on my way to just using MovableType exclusively. I am really enjoying it; thank you.
