I cross-posted this in the upgrading forum, as well, but haven't gotten a response, I'm hoping someone here can help...

Since upgrading from 3.01D to 3.1, my client's thumbnail option has ceased to work. It gives a 500 error whenever you try to do anything remotely thumbnail-related.

I've contacted the host and they've looked at everything on the server -- it's fine. ImageMagick is installed. Everything is as it should be, as far as we can tell.

But, if you choose to create a thumbnail, whether using Brad Choate's MTEmbedImage or the old fashioned way, it gives a 500 error.

I'm at my wit's end. Does anyone have any info?

Just a thought - have you enabled dynamic templates?

I just started having this problem as well! It's strange though because it was working directly after installing 3.1 but I suddenly started getting errors last week.

Did you figure it out, joelle?

I do not have dynamic templates enabled.
