Full Version: Subroutine entries redefined

I had cause to look at error logs today because of some other issue and happened to notice that I'm getting the following error message constantly. I'm wondering if it might explain other issues I'm having with categories and subcategories lately. (The following entries are excerpts from my logs, so the chronological order is not necessarily accurate. Timestamps are. Some information has been deleted for paranoic reasons.)

There may be more variations as there are literally thousands of such lines in my files now.

Any ideas?

Thanks, in advance.

Since 3.1 integrated the SubCategories plugin, the files for the plugin should be removed from your plugins folder to avoid a conflict if you're using that version of Movable Type.

Someone else told me I had to download the plugin pack (the one that includes mt-blacklist and subcats, among others) and put those files in place.

Was that wrong advice? (I followed it and you may be right — because I think that's when this odd behavior started).

Here's a second vote in favor of removing the SubCategories plugin files.

The plugin pack does not include the SubCategories plugin.

EDIT: Per plugin author David Raynes:

Important Note: When upgrading to a 3.1x version of MT, remove all of the files associated with the SubCategories plugin before starting the upgrade.

I'm looking into having this added to the upgrade documentation for 3.1.

Just to seal of any concerns that I might be right — I wasn't — I removed the subcategories plugins and things are fine in that respect now.

Don't know how I got it into my head that I was supposed to install that plugin.

Thanks!
