I'm new to MT and am having a problem with my getting my archive pages to format to the stylesheet. I'm using one of Eris's free design templates...modified the stylesheet a bit because the menu needed to be moved so I can post larger photos. (Sorry if I'm not supposed to, tell me and I'll kindly just scrap the whole thing and go another route.)

At any rate...the index page and main archive page and comment page are all working fine with the stylesheet... but all my other archive pages aren't. Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong?

I have it all running from a temporary place until I get it worked out.

My Webpage

If I need to post any of my code let me know. I didn't want to spam up the board just yet.

Thanks for any help you can offer

Shannon

I also wanted to say that I have gone through the forum and tried the other ideas that were posted on this subject before hand.

ex. clearing cache, deleting db and rebuilding, making sure all paths are correct.

Nevermind. ...

I ended up starting the templates over back to the defaults and am just working from there. Seems to be going well now...just have to adjust some things.

It's possible that, because of MT 3.1's new way of handling archive filenames, the stylesheet referenced in the individual/monthly archive templates isn't pointing to the correct place. I use an absolute filename to the stylesheet to make sure my archives always link to the stylesheet correctly.

hhmm.. hadn't thought of that. Thanks!

They seem to be working right now, but I am still making changes to things, so I'm sure I'll end up screwing it up again. ahahaha

If you want to be sure it always works you could use
CODE
<link rel="stylesheet" href="<MTLink template="STYLESHEET">" type="text/css" />

Rename STYLESHEET to whatever your stylesheet tempolate name is.

It will always point to an absolute filename, and you can change that location at will.

Glad to know that. Thanks! I'll have to write that one down so I don't forget for next time.
