Is there a way to do this?

For example:

on my main site, I'm going to display two entry columns. Insead of displaying:

<< previous | next >>

I'd like to display the titles of both entries that are on the next or previous page like:

<< going back home & on the road again | hi, everyone & bye everyone >>

... or at least the dates like this:

<< 11-24-04 & 11-25-04 | 11-26-04 & 11-25-04 >>
