I am trying to figure this one out, any ideas would be helpful.

My friend has MT 3.12 (newest) installed (it's an upgrade from 2.661) and it all works except for the comment queing.

I have verified that she has Unregistered commenters turned on (only requireing name/email address) and no moderation is on. She has MT-Blacklist installed, and is set to deny potential spammers. I have re-built numerous times and still every time someone posts a comment it goes into the que and is not auto approved.

I have looked over her comment listing template and seen no differences from her's and mine. I have looked over her webblog config and didnt see anything that was wrong. I looked in her mt.cfg and even added the typekey stuff, still no dice.

I know at one point she was trying to add the typekey registration stuff in manually (I did not try this) and it didnt work so she went back to her original templates. I guess there could be something in there that she missed, but I have no clue what.

So any idea's on how to tell MT to let comments auto-approve would be great! Her site is: http://www.dizzy-girl.net

Thanks for any help!

What version of MT Blacklist is she running? And if she's correctly upgraded to the latest version of Blacklist (2.x), make sure that all of the old (1.x) Blacklist files (which are NOT compatible with MT 3.x) were removed from the server. The files that need to go are:

/cgi-bin/mt/mt-blacklist.cgi
/cgi-bin/mt/plugins/Blacklist.pl
/cgi-bin/mt/extlib/jayallen/Blacklist.pm
/cgi-bin/mt/extlib/jayallen/MTBlPing.pm
/cgi-bin/mt/extlib/jayallen/MTBlPost.pm

(Assuming the installation is at /cgi-bin/mt/, of course. wink.gif )

Once you've verified that has happened, please post back if comments are still not going through. Oh, and the new version of Blacklist also has it's own settings with regard to moderation, etc, so if that's what's being used, double check those as well. smile.gif
