How I can delete 15ooo spam comments?

Currently I can do it in a 125 comment entry step.

If I want to see all entries a get an error.

With the 125 step it takes ages. You have an idea how I can do that via a back door?

What database are you using? Ideally you will have some sort of an administrative interface (ie, phpMyAdmin for MySQL) and you can delete them that way.

Incidently, I am really curious. Are you using blacklist and/or Typekey Authentication? That is a LOT of spam.

I’m using MT Version 3.121 and the standard DB from MT without MySQL.

Unfortunately the MT blacklist manual for my version is not ready yet.

15000 isn't anything. I've got over 45000 spam comments right now. When spam first started to hit Movable type, I went though and deleted every reference and link to it that my miniscule mind could come up with. The comments weren't displaying but the bots were still getting through. I didn't have time to try to learn how to install blacklist (it wasn't as easy at the time (wasn't even available at first)). I just let it go because they weren't getting spidered.

But now I've updated to v3 and want to start new, with comments. I'm going to install blacklist but need to clear these all out first. But how?

I exported a clean, no comments, no spammy trackbacks as a backup before I updated. Could that be of help, I wonder?

I could not find any other possibility than to delete all of the comments manually. Took my some days but I couldn’t find any other choice.

In the past I used in the older MT version MT blacklist and it was great. I have to install it again also. Lets see…
