I think this may be related to the multiple login problems people have been having, but it's different, so I've started another thread.
I have just upgraded from 3.14 to 3.16 - I've checked all the files - they were uploaded using ASCII/binary as they should have been, and none of them is truncated.
My problem is that I can't get past the login page. It appears, I type in my username/password, and... the login page reloads. No error message is displayed.
I have tried using a username/password combination that I know is wrong, and the same thing happens - no error message, and returned to the login screen.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be happening?
Oh, I've checked the MySQL database settings in mt.cfg and they're fine. I tested them by changing them to something I knew was wrong and got the expected bad connect error. So, as far as I can tell, MT can connect to the database.
And I've deleted all my cookies and tried again, but no change.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions as I'm at a complete loss.
Graeme
PS. I've just checked my cookies and discovered that, having deleted them all to ss if it would help, MT does not appear to be sending another cookie to my browser. My CGI path is properly set in mt.cfg, so I'm still at a loss as to what is happening.
