When I try to delete an author, the delete checkbox is not showing up on screen. Is this a bug or a scripting problem somewhere?

Is this the Meloday account (or what was Melody initially). Was your own author account created by the author you are trying to delete? If so, it cannot be deleted (to avoid you being locked out of your installation).

Ok, so how DO I delete Melody? I had Melody create my author account. Then, I used my author account to create another one. And then I had that author create another one. Still no check box next to Melody when logging in under all of those authors. I checked the manual but couldn't find anything.

This is MT 3.17 by the way.

Generally, you don't delete the Melody account, but change the name and password to your name and password. This way you don't delete the administrative account by accident.
