I have 2 issues, 1 old and 1 new.

#1 This isn't the logging out issue that came w/3.16, but it's one that has affected others, and I can't find the post where it was mentioned elsewhere on here. Basically, after I save a new post, I get logged off after the pinging. I sign right back in, and everything works fine. I can even make more posts and not get logged off. However, if the ping fails, I stay logged in. It affects dynamic and static posts.

#2 Post deletion doesn't seem to work. If I make a new post and then delete it, it will be out of my Entries section, but will still be on my site. For me to correct it, I have to re-save the post made before the deleted one and rebuild the entire site, then everything is right in my world again.

Do you mean that the file is still in the filesystem, the HTML still stored on the server? If so, this is by design. Movable Type will never delete any files that have been created.

The file is still in the database somehow. My site is dynamic, so it's not in the .html file. In the past, when I delete a post, it's gone and no longer displays, which is consistent w/my entries list in MT. But now my Entries list will show that I deleted it, buy my dynamic page will still show it...until I re-save the post before it and rebuild site.

Are you using Page-Level Caching at all? If so, try turning it off, and see if that makes any difference to what you are seeing.
tayker
Yes, I enabled it when I first started trying to get dynamic publishing to work. I'll see what disabling it does for my site, thanks.

UPDATE: Thanks maddy, that worked. Now if the Firefox issue can get fixed. ohmy.gif
