Ok, so when this bug cropped up (the one fixed by this patch), I decided to just go ahead and let all my URLs change to include dashes. As such I'm not bothering to instlal this patch.

So here's my question: If future versions of MT will be incorporating this patch, will there be a way to supress the patched behavior?

Meaning: My URLs now have dashes. If this patch is incorporated into future MT versions, that behavior will go away and my site will be inconsistent.

So maybe this is a feature request, should this patch be put into the codebase itself in the future: Let me have the choice of the with-dash behavior or the without-dash behavior, please.

(FYI, side issue: Why do email notifications off this board no longer work is the person responding to a thread I'm tracking happens to be a 6A employee -- which arguably are going to be the most improtant responses for me to know about.)
