Hi all,

I've just made a mistake and uploaded the index.html from the new MT package into my blog's folder.

So now everytime I try to access the blog:
http://saturn.svr4-speedyservers.com/~orixpzmi/

I get the message:

"You cannot view the contents of this directory"

I haven't got any clue of how to sort this out, can anyne help me please?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried rebuilding your blog?
MYL
Hi TwistedFate, I've tried rebuilding all blog but I still can't see any changes. I'm not sure how long does the server takes to update though (it's a temporary address until the domain name gets sorted out) so I don't know if it's still a index.html failure or something else in the server.

not sure what to do... huh.gif

tks.

Is this a new installation then? Perhaps MT is creating the index.html file in a different directory than you are expecting?

In your weblog config, what folder do you have the blog pointing to? What folder did you upload this index to?

If you're not getting any errors when rebuilding, then the file must be publishing somewhere. Although, also make sure in the templates that you have the Index template set to rebuild automatically.

Hi Icyshard, yes it's a new installation.

In the weblog config the blog is pointing to:
/home/orixpzmi/public_html/cgi-bin/movabletype

I uploaded this index.html to:
/public_html/

It rebuilds without any problem, I don't get any error message. I've just checked and the templates are set to rebuild automatically.

Any thoughts?

tks.

Oh, I just changed the weblog config to:
/home/orixpzmi/public_html/

and now the blog is showing up!

Thank you Icyshard for the clue. It's so difficulc when you don't really understand what the errors are trying to say... Bless are the forums!
