The pictures I'm trying to upload are larger than 0 bytes and why is link the only option? I used to be able to embed an image...

By the way, I'm using 2.64

Check to make sure your account isn't full. Sometimes uploads do weird things when there is no room to upload them. I would be a little suprised if MT wasn't catching that fact and alerting you, but it is still a possibility.
