NOTE: I consider this matter closed / irrelevant, as there's another question related to a much more current browser. So... Apologies and please ignore this topic!

I just switched to 3.2 - no problems in the upgrade process (woohoo!)

But... When I opened my browser, going into mt.cgi to check out all the new goodies, it looked as if all options were "empty" and the layout looked out of whack too. So I opened up an even older IE version, and lo and behold: it is a broswer-related issue. So, has indeed something been changed in 3.2 that "breaks" MT on older Mozilla browsers? It all looked and worked flawlessly up through 3.17...

Please tell me I don't have to use MS to blog*... sad.gif

Still, in MS IE I was able to appreciate how an immense lot of work has been put into 3.2. Kudos for team 6A - and the upgrade went smooth too!

*Reason being, I'm stubbornly using an older OS on my older Mac because I stick to K.I.S.S. as well as "don't fix what ain't broken." In other words: "upgrade your browser" won't fix the issue for me, cuz I can't!

Just clear your cache, it did the same thing for me in Firefox. I was like ugh! This is their new improved interface? Cleared my cache, and now everything is #1 wink.gif

Nope, that's not the magic bullet in my case. I think there are browser rendering / compatibility issues, but I don't want to dive deep into css and javascript land, so I solved it by simply rolling back to 3.1.7 (by doing a complete reinstall from scratch) and that solved the issue for me.

Pity, I see many interesting and useful features in 3.2 that'll undoubtedly make many MT users happy - then again, in my personal case I'm not using any of those, so... I'll stick to K.I.S.S. and my non-MS system.

But I'm glad that the Firefox issue is easily resolved by clearing the cache - that question popped up quite a bit around here!
