Full Version: Upgraded From 3.16 To 3.2, Some Things Not Working

I backed up my old database and installed 3.2 last night. After the new files were set up, the "click on the button to upgrade" bit seemed to work fine though it took three attempts to get it going.

Edited post on 9/14: It's three weeks later (I've been offline all this time) and everything I listed below with the exception of #2 now work fine. Don't ask because I don't know why they didn't work before.

1. While browsing through the new admin interface, I discovered I had three trackback spams. After checkboxing all three, I found the "Junk" button did nothing, and the "Delete" button gave me a popup window with this:
QUOTE
An error occurred:
Unknown object type TrackBack

Pretty much all I could do with the spam was edit their URL since I can't get rid of them.

2. Under 3.16, I had three options for comments: None, Open, and Closed. I usually set entries over two months old to Closed to cut down on spam. Now with 3.2 the three options seem to have been replaced with a checkbox for "Accept Comments." Well, where I used to have "Closed" I now have "Accept Comments" unchecked, and the problem is that none of the comments for these entries are displaying in the blog (they show up when I view the individual Entry in admin, however, and they are listed in the main Comments section--they just don't show up in the blog).

3. I am unable to create new entries. The Save button doesn't do anything.

4. The upgrade files did not include mt-static/docs, so if I click on any of the squared question marks (for bringing up the help/doc files) on something new like "Basename," well, there is no documentation for it.

Anyhow, these are the problems I've run into so far with 3.2. This is probably my 3rd or 4th upgrade, and the first time I've had a problem after upgrading. I might have made a mistake in the install, but I don't know. My blog is on a UNIX machine with a MySQL database. If anyone has ideas of what could have gone wrong or how to fix things, please let me know. smile.gif

I'm having problems with my weblog config/system overview pages on the new install. I am not having problems like the poster above, but I still figured this was the best place to list mine as well.

1. When I go to "system overview" and then to "weblogs" there is not an option to delete any of the blogs like there was before.

2. I also can not drop down the option box that is defaulted to "no action" - there are evidently no other options for me?

3. I have been unable to change blogs that I can work on. I can not choose a blog from the list page mentioned on #1, and I can not choose blogs from the drop down list at the top of the page to click "go" - it all times out or doesn't go anywhere. I have tried on several computers in several locations, same problem every place.

4. My weblogs are not even listed on the main "main menu" page now that I go back and check, once you click "weblogs" they are listed, but with no options.

5. I wanted to add that I have created a new blog and it shows up in all locations with all options, just my old ones that do not show up.
