I had one of those everything breaks at once experiences here; I had just upgraded to the early 3.2 beta when my server crashed (head crash, lost the disk completely, and no backups, D'oh!). So we limped the server back together and then I installed beta5.

We're up and running now, with most of the blogs restored from my own database dumps, but since beta 5, comment notification email isn't working. No mail comes out at all. I have the feature turned on in my blog settings.

Here's the problem; no errors, no bounces, no nuthin. So I can't tell if the problem is MT internal, or if it's a server config issue that's sending it's error output to /dev/null or a log file I can't find.

I need to figure out how to see if MT is trying to send mail and failing; how can I turn on debugging output for this? Anyone have any ideas?

I'm running on Linux and have root on the box; I'm a techie so I can get clever with debugging the code, but I have no idea where to start.

Help?
