MT v3.2 - Issue with Power-Editing

a problem i encounter at: Main Menu > [Blog] > Entries -> Power-Editing Mode

when i open Power-Editing Mode a window opens and begins to load but stops after 5 or 6 entry lines in Firefox 1.0.6.

in Internet Explorer 6 the window opens but nothing loads. the title bar reads: "Cannot find Server"

i cleaned out browser cache and cookies in both browsers and tried again. same problem.

finally, replicated same error in Opera 8.0 where the load stops after a few lines like Firefox.

i am not sure if this is other people's experience and would like to know. or perhaps this is just a fault in my own setup?
