I asked this same type of question about a month ago, and as Ben responded to me in this thread:

That's great news, otherwise I would have had to rethink the layout I'm trying to achieve.

I'm also happy to hear that it currently isn't possible, instead of me just being a dumb newbie who couldn't figure it out.

Hello everybody!

I'm trying to do something that is hopefully pretty simple, but I haven't grasped MT well enough to make this work.

I'm pretty much using all the default templates while I focus on creating and organizing my content. I have two categories set up. One is called "Journal", and one is called "Static".

I want MT to create monthly archives of the journal entries, and I don't want the static entries to appear in these archives. I tried editing the Date-Based Archive Template and changed to , but this didn't do it.

How can I make this work?
