How's this for a bizarre error:
I'm attempting to write a post about last night's Amazing Race. If you missed it, the teams at one point had to go curling, which is a fun sport that I play at a local club. So I try to enter this text:
"Great plug by the Linz brother, who kept saying how he could curl all day long, and he was going to find a club in Cincinnati as soon as he got home."
When I enter that text, I get a "Forbidden 403 error." It appears related to the exact term "curl all", because if I type a post with only that text, I get the same error. If I put a comma "curl, all", it posts fine.
Can anyone else test this out on their MovableType installation and let me know if it happens to you too? It happens regardless of post status...

Thanks

Brian

This may be related to a security setting on the server - I've seen similar problems in the past when trying to post words which the server admin had designated as reserved (they have special meaning in relation to perl and/or other applications on the server). I'd suggest you check with your webhost if that is a possibility.

You were absolutely right! My host told me that they had "mod security" turned on to prevent cURL hack attempts. They switched it off, and it now works. Thanks for the troubleshooting help, that never would have occurred to me.
