Full Version: Rebuild Main Index Problem

I am having an issue with the Rebuild Site function. I recently installed the MT software and imported my blog entries. Even after this process, the templates page listed the Main Idex as Built w/Indexes. After an entry or two, the check mark in the Built w/Indexes column grayed out and the only way for me to have my Main Index built is to force it from the Main Index template edit form.

I also have a second blod installed from the control panel. This blog works perfectly. I have even attempted to copy the Main Index template from the second site.

My question is, does anyone know what the software is checking for to make the check mark appear on the Templates page next to a template entry? Is there any way to force it to automatically attempt to build an index?

I've been continuing to work on my problem. I was able to work around the issue I am having with the Rebuilding.

On my template page, my Main Index template does not have a check in the Built w/Indexes column. I am not sure why this has happen. I am not getting any errors from the sytem and the template has not been modified from install. Since it was working when I installed it and silently stopped working. I went into my SQL browser and found the entry "template_rebuild_me" for the blog ID in rouble and changed the entry back to "1". Everything is working perfectly now. However, I can not add new templates without performing the same process in the SQL browser.

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions as to why this may be happening...

Where is your blog hosted? It might be easiest to create a new weblog, import all of your data and then shut down the old one (assuming the new one has all the right checkboxes).

I'd be willing to bet it's hosted by Yahoo! Small Business. At least two of us are having the same problem with MT installations hosted by them. I'm guessing it's a bug in their implementation of MT but they won't return any emails to follow up on the issue.
