It seems that just about every ping list I could find was either very limited, or out-of-date, so I've created a new one.

I merged all the ping lists I could find, removed duplicates and then tested them all and removed the broken ones:

ping list

To use the list go to in Moveable Type -> New Entry Defaults -> Publicity/Remote Interfaces -> paste into 'Others'.

Also here is a list of services which offer autoping to multiple sites (you feed these ones manually):

autoping multiping list

Will update the ping lists about once a month to keep them reasonably fresh.
