How is it possible to change my MT configuration such that the trackback URL will be similar to the title of my entry instead of the default trackback URL?
Example:
Instead of http://www.domain.com/cgi-bin/mt-tb.cgi/30
It will be: http://www.domain.com/archives/some_entry_title

You mean something like this? It's not exactly the same, but it lets you set the trackback URL to be the URL of the individual archive with "/ping" added to the end. So the URL to that post is

and the trackback URL is

Yes, this is what I'm looking for! Unfortunately, I've gotta modify the files which is not very practical as I'll have to modify each time a new MT version is released.

* I will have to update myself, so you can just get a new copy from me when a new release comes out
* MT releases don't come out that often
But I understand that we all have to make our own choices about costs and benefits. My opinion, however, is that this is not achievable without modifying or replacing the MT code.
On the other hand, you could pester 6A to implement this in the base code. Tell them "this is what I want and here's an implementation".
