I've had a search through the forums for previous threads on this subject and managed to find a few without any solutions. sad.gif

I've been running my blog for over a year without any problems, but when I tried to upload a file yesterday I was able to upload without a problem but was then only offered LINK as an option, rather than html to embed the image into the page.

When I checked the archive folder via ftp I found the uploaded pic but it was showing 0 bytes.

Nothing has changed with my server settings, ImageMagick is still installed (although I wasn't trying to create a thumbnail) and there's 2 gig free so it's notthing to do with lack of space.

Any ideas anyone?

I ran into this issue not too long ago. It turned out that there was a problem with the image - ImageMagick did not recognize it as a valid image.

The image I was working with was an edited copy of a digital camera picture, so I made another copy of the picture, re-edited it, and saved it with the correct file extension. (Looking back, I think someone had changed the extension on the first picture that was uploaded without converting the picture itself.)

When I uploaded the new picture I re-edited, ImageMagick was able to recognize it, the new file uploaded properly, and I was presented with expected options to link or embed the image in the page.

I'd suggest checking the image you're uploading and 1) make sure it is a valid image, and 2) make sure the file extension on the image corresponds to the format of the image.

Hope this helps...

I'm going through this right now.

Check your /tmp directory or whatever directory you use as a tmp directory to handle your uploads.

You might also have to reboot your server. For me, I cleaned out the directory BUT Linux did not clean out the space until I rebooted my machine.

Hope that helps.
