I haven't been able to find any information on whether or not MT 3.2 will allow you to send a trackback to a non-MT blogs. In a few past situations, I have tried to send trackbacks to blogs created through LiveDoor (a Japanese company), but had no success with this. Lately I've found a few Live Journal and Type Pad blogs that I'd like to send trackbacks too, but I'm not sure that it is even possible to do. Thanks!
So, two questions:
1) Is it possible to send trackbacks to non-MT blogs?
2) How would I go about doing this on say LJ, TP, or even Blogger?

If the other weblogs provide TrackBack URLs, you can put them in your Outbound TrackBack URLs box when you create a new entry. That should trigger the system to send those TrackBack pings out.

Ok, fair enough, that makes sense. Since I'm not a user of TypePad or Live Journal though, I'm uncertain if those blogs have trackback URLs. I certainly haven't seen any posted with the individual entries, like you would see with the default MT templates. Is there any other way to find out an entries trackabck URL? Or is this an option that you could enable/disable in a TypePad or LiveJournal blog? Thanks!

TypePad weblogs have TrackBack URLs but they can be disabled. LiveJournal does not currently have TrackBack features.
