Here’s one of my newbie experiences with editing entries for publication on my MT blog.

I’d type my say in MS Word, copy, then paste in the edit screen. Everything looked great. I’d publish and the spacing would be all messed up. This happened time after time. I discovered what appears to be a workaround that works for me.

Before I paste in the edit screen I make sure the editor type is WYSIWYG. If it’s not, I seem to loose all my links. After posting I go to the end of each paragraph and delete everything until the next line starts at the next character. Then I enter two returns which gives me a blank line between paragraphs. I do this for every paragraph in the post. If I skip any, their white space is messed up after publication.

After I’ve entered all the appropriate returns, I change the editor type to line-break and save the post. Now when I publish it, it has just the white space I wanted and saw in the pre-publication edit field.
