I've upgraded to MT 3.3 four days ago. After that, old comments on the blog (www.jesusmechicoteia.com.br - it's in Portuguese), as well as new entries, appear with the special characters all messed up. From what I've read so far, MT used to have ISO-8559-1 as default character encoding, but this has benn changed to UTF-8 on version 3.3. My entire weblog (all 4 years of it) has been written using ISO-8559-1.
I tried to add thi line to mt.cfg:
QUOTE
PublishCharset iso-8559-1
No good. On my Main Index template, I have this line:
QUOTE
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
If I change this to utf-8, and let utf-8 in mt.cfg as well, it's no good too.
Well, here is the thing: if I write an entry using w.bloggar, it shows up very well and nicely. But I can't use w.bloggar at work, only the MT interface, and it doesn't work. How could I work around this? Downgrading to 3.2?
Thanks a lot.
