My web-server just migrated all of my files to a new server, and I (naively) thought that all would be well with Movable Type. However, after the migration, what happened was that my current login won't work, nor will the original default logins (melody/nelson). When I attempt to log in it says, "invalid login."

There seems no way to access the program any longer despite a login screen appearing. Even the comments no longer function. I believe that the whole thing has reset itself somehow, but since I have no way to access the program there's no way to know for sure.

I'm ready to just reinstall the thing, but I'm hoping (against hope) that there is somehow a file that contains the database of all of my posts. I'm hoping (against hope) that I can use this in the new installation and miraculously retrieve all of my posts.

Am I up the creek without a paddle? Will I have to completely restart my blog all over again?

Many thanks for any help you can give me. Even an unequivocal "No. All is lost" would be fine, so that I can have some closure. <tear>
