Hello all, I think I've done enough searching here to know that I'm not repeating a topic - but if not, please forgive me.
I have helped a friend import a blog from Blogger and I would like to strip out the URLs that now appear in the "Commenter" field of each comment - since Blogger stores name and URL together.
I am using a regex search that accurately identifies the comments with this issue - i.e. all the comments that have links to the Blogger profile surrounding the commenter's name. However, when I check one or more comments and try to replace that opening href tag with nothing (by leaving the replace field blank), I get a message "No comments were found that match the given criteria." Since I was just looking at a list of over 100 comments that do, it's a little surprising. Then when I repeat the search, all comments come back and none of them have been changed.
I have tried unpublishing the comments before trying the replace, that did not help.
Any thoughts?
