Hi - I couldn't find an answer in the KnowledgeBase so I'm hoping someone can help.

A new bug has appeared in my MT admin over the past few weeks. When editing long entries or templates, MT truncates the body, so I lose data when saving. Sometimes, I notice the error and I'm able to find the complete code by hitting "back" several times on my browser. Other times, I completely lose my content. The entries and templates are not super-long. For example, one template was about 16,000 characters (including HTML) and was truncated to 4,051 characters.

I have not changed my configuration, so I'm not sure why this started happening.

Config: MacBook Pro, Firefox 1.5.0.6, MT version 3.2.

Our designer/developer (Mike Rundle of 9Rules/BusinessLogs) is also on a Mac and cannot replicate the problem. He uses Camino, however.

Are you using the Google Toolbar, by any chance? Your specs are almost exactly those presented at the link.

I can't remember at the moment whether anybody found an actual fix other than tossing the toolbar, but a bit of searching around might come up with something. It's not MT's fault at any rate.

Thanks! I do have Google Toolbar. Do you know if I can just de-activate it while using MT, or do I have to uninstall it entirely? I use the Toolbar, so my other solution is to work on MT in Safari or Camino.

FYI: I just discovered the truncation bug occurs in Firefox even with the Google Toolbar "off" (eg not visible). I wonder if it's related to the auto-fill form feature. I'm going to use Safari or Camino for MT to make sure I don't lose more code again.
