Full Version: Will Pay Programmer To Fix Bug In My Client's Blog

Hello:

I hope I am in the appropriate forum here. I am a first time user so please excuse and re-direct me if need be.

I have used Type Pad to create a blog in my client's site at www.greberwritingaward.com a non-profit web site that awards money to working freelance writers with works in progress. The blog page is called "Onward and Upward" and can be found on the menu. The problem is quite simple but very pesky.

The header at the top of the blog page that says "Onward and Upward" is currently the same size font as the main text. It should be 2 to 3 times larger than that. Despite the best efforts of the programmer who built the blog (custom template) we cannot get this header to be the right size. Since it is a custom template, we are apparently not eligible for tech support. I submitted a ticket and was referred here. Hopefully someone can help me get his fixed. I am not intererested in fixing it myself or getting instructions on what to try in the CSS. I am simply willing to pay someone who can fix this. I would propose a minimum and maximum arrangement i.e. I will pay a minimum to get it fixed (even if it takes you 5 seconds) and a maximum (I would like the blog to look as it should but there is a limit). You can reply to this forum but I would prefer it if you contacted me directly by email - brentg@telus.net to discuss.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Cheers,

Brent Gushowaty

I am all about saving money, why don't you just send us a link to your CSS file and we can tell you what to change yourself... all for FREE!

actually, I found it myself...

look inside your template and you'll see something that looks like this

CODE
h1 {font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica; font-size: 14pt;}

duplicate that with this

CODE
h1 {font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica; font-size: 14pt;}

h1#banner-header a {font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica; font-size: 14pt;}

Change the 14pt to a bigger number like 16 or 18 to increase the font size.

let me know if that doesn't work.
