I am currently writing blogs for a few companies. I would like to start designing their blogs and managing them. Although I currently use typepad, I am looking at several sites that would allow me to do this. Movabletype has been recommended several times. Will movabletype allow me to run several different blogs with different passwords to each one? - is this what 5 users means? Will I have access to the HTML so I can customize what I need but will is also be eazy to use like typepad? Is the extra cost realy worth it? Please let me know your opinon. Thanks

"Will Movable Type allow me to run several different blogs with different passwords to each one?"

Yes.

"Is this what 5 users means?"

No. User=Author, IIRC. You can create as many blogs as you want.

"Will I have access to the HTML so I can customise what I need...?"

Yes. Search for sites using MT and look at how different one is from another.

"...but will it also be easy to use like TypePad?"

"Easy" is subjective. MT is extremely versatile. With versatility and power comes complexity. MT can be a royal pain to use. It can also be relatively plug-n-play simple. Any blogging platform or CMS you install yourself will be more complex to install/maintain than a hosted solution, that's just the nature of the beast.

"Is the extra cost really worth it?"

Yes. =)

Minor point: user = accounts, eg: someone who only creates templates but never writes content still counts against the license.
