when my knees stop shakin from fear of messing up a linux installation (i'm gonna try it one day soon), i will make the switch to stability.  

for now, i have my stuff on my host's MS box (i believe it's either NT4 ??).  so, of course, i cannot use mySQL on it.  

one of the administrators figures he can install the DB_File module, but he needs to know what the command line line is to install that module.  

he thinks it might be something like perl -install
DB_File?

anyway, if y'all can see your way clear to assisting me on this, it would be greatly appreciated

But, why can't you use mysql on a windows server?  I didn't think it worked like that.

(And, setting up on a Linux box isn't hard.  I think it's actually easier than windows.  :p)

Yes, I'm very patient.  Well, for certain things.  lol!

Most of the modules were installed by default on the box I set up with linux, including DBD::mysql!  Gotta love that.
