Hello - have recently joined MT with a blog, and I am using one of the basic MT stylesheets. Instead of keeping the header, I have inserted a header graphic of my own, and think I have pretty much got it to the size and position I want it, except that on the right hand side of the graphic there is "extra" space that overlaps the borders of the column. I am not sure if this is a problem on my end with my graphic (although my graphic seems to check out) or if there is adjustments I need to make in the column and/or header space.

Im sorry to bother again, but I tried making the adjustments and it didnt work.

I also happened to look at my blog through another computer I have, a laptop, and viewing the blog from there, everything looked fine, although one side is wider than the other. Can you tell me if you see the same thing and what specifically I can do to correct it?

You're right, it still doesn't look right, but I'm sorry, I don't have time to go through your style sheets to figure out what might be wrong. If you happen to use Firefox, I would highly recommend the FireBug extension. It's great for debugging, as you can click through your hierarchy of elements on the page and FireBug will highlight that bit with a blue border. This helps to quickly pin down which element (which particular div, for example) is causing the problem. This is especially helpful when dealing with stuff from The Style Browser, since you're modifying someone else's code and don't necessarily know exactly what's what.

However, I'd like to appeal to you anyway for a starting point, as it has been a long time since I have worked with the MT programming (which I love) and can see how far along it has come. I still consider myself a newbie where MT is concerned and am not even sure I can consider myself even basically familiar with the CSS that is part of MT now. I would greatly appreciate your indulgence!

I am of the mind to widen the content/sidebar area in hopes of resolving the problem as well as opening space for other links/graphics I have added in my sidebar. If you can point to me the areas in my style sheet where I need to make the adjustments for the width, I think it would help me out quite a bit.
