My blog often got "HTTP error: 403 Throttled" since I updated to MT 3.3

It's was fixed after I increase the hourly and daily max trackback ping limit

OneHourMaxPings 50
OneDayMaxPings 200

I got about 50 spam trackback ping everyday.

the default size of trackback quota is:
OneHourMaxPings 10
OneDayMaxPings 50

Could it be stats on published trackback, not include the trackbacks marked as spam?

Thanks

I'm sorry, Che. I have no answer. But I just wanted to say I'm amazed that while 1200 people have viewed this, nobody has an answer for you. Damn. Hope you work it out soon.

I would imagine that there have been no responses (apart from it being lost in the other topics and not bumped up at all by the poster) because nobody has determined a way to do what is being asked.

This is not something that the application is designed to do - all pings, regardless of status, are counted - this is primarily becuase the throttling feature is designed to prevent floods of spam TrackBacks. If the throttling were done only on the basis of legitimate TrackBacks that that would seem to defeat that purpose.

oh dont mind me sarah. it just seemed like a disproportionate ratio, and i am probably empathizing with how i imagine che could possibly have felt—due to my own frustrations with a trackback issue that haunts me.... smile.gif
