Dear Movable Type,

MT is great and the best blogging platform as I think. But please, please, please... Finally add a way to have archives by authors.
It should be possible to have a little info for every author, maybe set when you edit the authors profile in the admin interface, there should be an easy way to display a list of all authors, the names are linked to the authors archive page displaying all posts by this author. Like a category archive...

This would be soooo great! Please MT!

CustomFields and Cuttings.App both offer author archiving.

Thanks Su, I know it can be done with Plugins or workarounds, but most of them are not really convenient, so please MT, hear the many of us! :-)

Well, yeah. Feature requests are fine. And if you're willing to wait for them to be fulfilled, that's great. But I can tell you right now there's no evidence so far that this is going to happen in the next release. I'm not telling you not to make the request, just that if you want to do something about this anytime soon, reach for the plugins.

If they're inconvenient(I'm not sure I see how), have you considered making requests of the plugin authors?
