I had to turn off my comments and pings because of the spam. I don't want to have people register, but is there useful code to put in a page where the entry folks have to enter in a code to leave a comment? Where would I place it on my page?
Thanks

There is a CAPTCHA plugin
http://www.sixapart.com/pronet/plugins/plugin/captcha.html where people have to enter a code.
There is also a Akismet plugin for MT
http://akismet.com/development/. Akismet uses feedback from all the bogs running it to determine what is Spam and what is not.

I would HIGHLY recommend MT Keystrokes. Ever since I installed the plugin, I went from receving tons of comment spam a day to receiving about 2 every month.
Keystrokes rejects comments that were obviously pasted in an automated fashion, thereby filtering out machine entry, and not human entry. Love it!
