Until this issue is cleared up I started pinging manually from Ping-O-Matic.
http://pingomatic.com./
No error messages so far.
I unchecked MT's automatic ping in settings first.
You might want to give it a try.

I'll do that. It doesn't look as if MT has fixed the problem as of today.

Does the use of blo.gs still have any value? I see this error as well. However, in looking at the blo.gs home page, nothing has been updated since mid-2005, shortly after their purchase by Yahoo. Could it be that Yahoo is letting this service die off?
