Hi Folks,
I get an error when I try to post an entry with a trackback.
I get the following error in the entry logs:
HTTP error: 500 Can't connect to www.mydomain.com:80 (Bad protocol 'tcp')

Using MT 3.34 but problem persisted across several versions.

Trackbacks don't work at all.

Any ideas?

BTW my MT will accept incoming trackbacks. It gives the error when trying to send a trackback ping.

Any ideas?

Could my Perl be missing some important package required to send pings?
My server is chrooted.

Ping 'https://www.tssg.org/mt-blog/mt-tb.cgi/59' failed: HTTP error: 501 Protocol scheme 'https' is not supported

Ping 'http://ping.blo.gs/' failed: HTTP error: 500 Can't connect to ping.blo.gs:80 (Bad protocol 'tcp')

I use https when users log into their blog.

We can receive track backs though.

Any ideas?
