I don't really know how to describe this other than to include a screenshot:

http://www.intuitive.com/tmp/mt-screwed-up.png [sorry, can't seem to inline the image]

As you can see, the text formatting choices end up on top of the extended entry input box, and the bigger textarea / smaller textarea buttons sort of wander off to the right. None of them work and there doesn't appear to be any way to make these go away.

I can duplicate this problem in Apple's Safari and Firefox, and I suspect there's something weird about my 3.34 installation, but man, it's frustrating for someone who blogs every single day!

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to fix things? I just can't believe I'm trapped with this problem forever and, oh boy, being able to grow my textarea (extended entry!) would be glorious!

Thanks.

Hello Dave,

I'm very glad to see you around.

The problem you are experiencing means that some files from the /mt-static/ folder are not uploaded or are uploaded in a bad format

What you have to do is to et your FTP client to binary mode and upload the entire content of the /mt-static/ folder

Let me know if you would like to direct assistance, since over time I've got to know your Web site quite well and I've discovered some little issues here and there.

Good luck,

Hmmm.... I tried to do just that by comparing everything in my mt-static folder to that of another clean MT install, but there's nothing different. How can I get the master version of mt-static?

Thanks!

Hi Dave,

I didn't have the time to get back via email because I've got a huge work load

Don't limit to compare the files, but simply set your browser to AUTO or BINARY mode and upload the entire /mt-static/ folder making sure the files are overwritten

You may get the fresh installation files logining it to Movable Type @ Six Apart

Kind Regards,
