I am having a bit of a problem with MT 3.34

Bare with me I have only been using Moveable Type for about 2 months now.

I am getting this oddity where the individual archive files of any given post are not the actual archive, rather they are just the blog. So when you click on the archives link, or the permalink, instead of showing you the entry it shows the front-page of the blog.

I took a look at the html files being written, and there are individual entry files being made, but the markup contains for the individual entry and the index of the blog are identical.

I have not been able to figure out -why- this is happening. To make things even stranger, I have another blog using identical settings and a nearly identical template, and it is -NOT- doing this. It is working fantastic.

Blog with problems: www.verse-studios.com/press/

Blog without problems: inverse.verse-studios.com

The only significant difference between the two blogs is that the Press blog ( with the problem ) is the domains. inverse is in it's own domain, while press is a sub-folder of the verse-studios.com domain. Both are on the same server.

In fact, now that I look at it, ALL the links on the press blog seem to be miss-behaving. The archives link is not going to an individual archives page ( as I have it set to do in the settings ), rather, it is showing the blog main page yet again. This is really wonky...

Any ideas into this would be great.

If you go to Settings for the blog, on the Publishing tab under Archive Mapping at the bottom of the screen, what Template Name is showing in the column next to the Individual Archive Type?

If it is the "Individual Entry Archive", then navigate to Templates and on the Archives Tab, click that template name. Is there anything entered in the "link this template to a file" field, and if so, what is there?

Sorry for taking so long to respond to this, things got crazy at work and this is the first chance I've had to come back to this problem.

The blog is using Individual, Monthly, and Category archive types. The Individual Entry Archive template has nothing in the link this template to a file field. The strange thing is I have 2 other blogs, almost identical in nature, and they are not displaying this problem. Could it be something wrong in the templates themselves?

I have been trying a couple things and am still getttng the same issues with this one particular blog. I am wondering if the solution is to simply delete it and rebuild it from scratch. Any thoughts?
