Earlier today, I made a backup of my SQL database using Yahoo! Small Business tools. (That's where Back-to-Iraq.com is hosted) I then cleared out the mt_comment table in the SQL database because a glut of spam comments was causing numerous "500 Server Error" messages. I used phpMyAdmin on Yahoo's servers to do this.
Once the comments had been cleaned, the blog worked well. So I used Yahoo! Small Business's "restore database" tool.
This is where the trouble started. My comments were still gone. And now MT no longer "remembers" me when I sign in, with a login prompt every time I click on a new section in the main control panel. When I try to save a new entry or changes to an old one, I get this error:
CODE
Load failed: Loading data failed with SQL error Got error 127 from storage engine
Strangely, the templates, authors, comments and trackbacks have all disappeared from the MT interface. I can't "rebuild" the blog either. It appears to run through the procedure fine, but at the end, I get the "127" error again.
Help! Can someone suggest some ideas of what's happened and how to fix it? I just really want to get back to where I was before I backed up, spammy comments and all. Anyone have experience with Yahoo hosting, phpMyAdmin, SQL and MT?
I'm using MT 3.31 and want to upgrade to 3.35.
thanks!
