aheem.. Hello!

I'm a very visual focused person.. so I've see the beautyful mt-website and thought! ok give it a try. You know I was looking for a cool cms or blog system for my domain. After years of html-coding and then doing nothing it was the right time I thought ^^

OK. here I got mt and its running but I want more: I come to the board and it looks quite uncomfortable.. :/
I mean.. why doesn't the official mt-forum look at least a little as cool as the homepage?!?! The dark black, grey, light blue and white plus hexagons would fit such a board as well I guess :]
Is there no one into making skins for such a board? shall I do one?!?

OK here the question: Is there a design related section somewhere? All I've seen was quite code related. I mean I want to style the blog a little and like to ask questions where to start screwing and stuff.

hope you don't throw me for being offending. I didn't meant to be. I mean I'd like help as well! smile.gif

MT4 is actually just released and the documentation is still being worked on. The basic for ready styles are in your styles under the Design option in your menu.

More styling and templates discussions will come but it is too soon. The stylesheet to the basic templates are found under your mt-static directory, then support and themes and whatever style you choose. The stylesheet to do the main designing is styles.css

Heheh I agree. All the company invest a significant amount of resources into their products, but when it comes to users' feedback and interactions, ehh, the best they can do is an ugly forum template which can be installed in 5 minutes. I suppose the web-designers hired/self-employed to do the frontpage lack the time and skills to mess around with forum codes. And the company doesn't want to spend more resources to hire someone else to do the dirty work of maintaining and designing a nice forum.

Community is important. Keeping active users and nourishing developers have a lot to do with creating a nice environment for them to stay in.

Most of what said above is a major problem for small companies, but for a successful company like MT, there's no excuse. they certainly can pay someone to do this or do it themselves, so i don't get what their problem is smile.gif

put some graphics, change color, rearrange things around, better spacing, jeez...that seems like a good project with great return: happy users, more active participants, more people become interested.
