Full Version: Hosting For Mt4 - Six Apart Hosting Partners?

I am currently running my site at Yahoo with MT 3.2. I am considering moving to a new hosting provider for 3 main reasons:

1. To upgrade to MT4
2. I don't like Yahoo's hosting service
3. I want more flexibility on the server (Yahoo only gives FTP access, I'd like SSH access)

I'd also like to install vBulletin with my new hosting provider.

Is anyone currently using the providers listed by Six Apart at the following location: http://www.movabletype.com/partners/hosting.html

The providers are:
  • Nexcess
  • pair Networks
  • LivingDot

I'd appreciate anyone's feedback with regards to these providers. The thing I like is that I don't have to purchase a license from Six Apart with these providers, I can add Movable Type to several of the hosting plans for a minimal price per month.

I've had experience with pair Networks and can recommend them highly. I moved on to a VPS but I was with pair for a number of years and still host my employer's website there.

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone else have anything to say about these hosting providers as recommended by Six Apart ?
