I'm trying to migrate my blog to a new server with more functionality and when I try to export my blog entries in mt4 I get the following error after I select my blog and hit "continue"

Line: 2404
Char: 9
Error: Object Required
Code: 0
URL: http://www.superfunpatrol.com/cgi-bin/mt40...de=start_export

Any help would be helpful!

There were some issues with the exportpart, have you uploaded tha latest MT release? MT4-01 RC2. I could export entries yesterday and I have the latest release.

Yup - just re-installed and i get the same error - it goes to a new page (blank) with "Super Fun Patrol (1)"

the page URL is http://superfunpatrol.com/cgi-bin/mt40/mt....de=start_export

First up, you'll want to make sure that the javascript is actually able to load properly (the first error you noted is a javascript error). What are your CGIPath and StaticWebPath set as in mt-config.cgi? If they includes the www part of the URL, make sure that you're logging in with the URL that includes the www also.

If you're seeng blank pages, you should also check that all of the files in the /tmpl/cms/ directory and the /lib/ directory were fully transferred, in ASCII mode.

I figured it was somethign like that. Buuuuuuuuut I ended up logging into my 3.2 install and exporting from there. And it worked!

Thanks for helping me out!

Is there a solution for this problem for those of us who did not retain a previous version of MT3.x on their server?

I also get a similar issue when trying to use the Backup tool in Firefox, but it does work in IE 7. Export does not work in either. In FF, I get the pop up but it never populates with anything. In IE, I get the same issue as described above.
